FIRST CSU MATHEMATICAL CONFERENCE

CSUN, NOVEMBER 11 - 12, 2022

Submission of Abstracts

We invite CSU faculty and students to present talks at this conference and to submit a one-page abstract using the template available here (LaTeX version is preferred, but a docx version is also available). Talks in all mathematical and statistical disciplines are welcome.

When you have prepared your one-page abstract, you can submit it by filling the abstract submission form, but before you submit, please be aware of the following :

  • The author who is presenting the talk should be the one who submits the abstract.
  • The asterisk superscript in the template should be placed on the name of the author who is presenting the talk.
  • Please do not employ any additional packages or user-defined macros in your submitted abstract file.
  • Please name your abstract file using Surname-Forename-Campus.tex (or .docx). So, for example, the sample template would be Smith-Alice-CSUSB.tex (or .docx). The name should be that of the speaker, and please use the standard abbreviation for your campus.
  • Please submit the abstract in .tex or .docx form. You can make the resulting .pdf file to check that it is working, but do not submit the .pdf file.
  • Each person may submit only one abstract. (But one can both submit an abstract and be a non-presenting author on other people’s talks.)
  • Please make sure that the entire abstract, including heading and references  (if any), is not more than one page.
  • Please email CSUJMMinquiries@csun.edu if you have any questions.
Deadline for the one-page abstract submission is August 31, 2022.
Notification for selected talks will be sent by October 15, 2022.

Lodging (two nights) at the conference site, meals, coffee breaks, conference banquet, and conference documentation are free of charge for all presenters. Travel support for students with accepted presentations is available. Students must send an email to the Conference Secretariat along with a letter from their Department Head/Chair that states that the participant is a full-time student.
